The judging criteria
are very tough & a challenge to even the best
designers.
Winning
a merit award is recognition of a commitment to
the pursuit of website excellence.
It
takes talent & lots of hard work to win a
Merit Award. Merits are only granted to sites
that obtain at least two stars (60% or less on
the scoring system).
The scoring system is so rigorous that a score
of 60% represents a pretty good site indeed. However,
it also reflects that there is some room for evolution,
improvement & further development of the site.
Winners of the Merit Award may reapply at any
time to be considered for the Silver & Gold
Awards.
